Cranberry apple energy balls

These easy, portable energy balls are the perfect snack when you're on the go and needing something to keep you going, without all the added sugar. Sweetened with just a little bit of honey (and this is coming from someone who is NOT a fan of honey at all), these provide all the right flavors of sweet and what is shining through in flavor is the taste of apples and cranberries which is why it got its name. It contains chia seeds for omega 3 and an awesome nut and seed butter that is very high in protein. Kind of like a really good granola bar, only better than you can imagine.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups of rolled oats

3 tsp chia seeds

1/2 cup of apple sauce

2 tsp of honey

2 tbsp of Nuts for Nature Nut & Seed butter (from Costco. Although you can substitute for natural peanut butter or almond butter)

1/4 cup of dried cranberries

Directions:Mix all ingredients together and blend well. Shape into small balls and refrigerate for a few hours, then enjoy.
